Photo Facial Pigmentation

Photo Rejuvenation therapy (photo facial) can be used to effectively treat a variety of indications, including redness, sun damage, pigmentation, age spots, fine lines, and large pores. Photofacials leave the skin feeling smoother and softer.

Laser Rejuvenation Elite iQ- skin therapy utilizes non-invasive laser technology to treat conditions that are typically associated with sun damage and premature signs of aging – such as excessive redness, large pores, uneven texture, and fine-line wrinkles. The treatment stimulates collagen regrowth by gently heating the upper dermis well below the skin’s surface. Additional heat is generated in dilated capillaries to reduce redness. Subtle yet consistent results can be seen after each Laser treatment, without unwanted side effects such as bruising or excessive skin irritation. While each patient’s condition and needs vary, four to six treatments are typically required in order to achieve optimal results.

The number of treatment sessions can vary from individual to individual depending on factors such as the skin concern, the severity, and depth of the problem, surface area, age, and expectations of the final result. Post the session, patients can experience temporary darkening and peeling of the skin for newer skin to emerge. Multiple sessions may be required to achieve desired results.

If you have skincare concerns regarding sun damage, signs of aging, or dark spots, contact us today for a consultation with our certified and knowledgeable laser tech for more information about photo facial therapy!

NOTE: If you are trying to conceive, pregnant, breastfeeding, or recently undergone major surgery you are not a candidate for laser services as it poses significant risks in such situations.

Prepping
Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, waxing, chemical peels or collagen injections two weeks prior to the procedure. No perfumes, deodorants or any potential irritants are to be used on the treatment area before and after treatment. Avoid aspirin, anti-inflammatory drugs and herbal supplements as they can increase the risk of bleeding.
Post Care
For any discomfort or swelling, apply ice or aloe vera gel to speed up healing and provide anti-inflammatory relief. Use the cooling gel on the affected area for up to 3 days post-treatment. Temporary rash of purple or red spots is normal and will clear in 1-2 weeks. During treatment, some patients experience skin tightening, itching, pain, and even scarring may be experienced. Avoid applying makeup or lotion to the treated area for either 24 hours or until all signs of redness and stinging have dissipated. Apply a good quality moisturizing lotion to the treated area twice daily for the duration of the treatments for at least three months after the final treatment.
